After Laser Surgery Instructions

Dental laser procedures result in little or no discomfort following surgery.  The length of time it takes for the gums to heal depends on each individual.  Most healing in the surface areas takes 2-4 weeks.  Deeper pocket areas may take several months.  Teeth may be tender for up to 1 year.  Spaces between your teeth may result from the reduction of swelling, inflammation and the removal of diseased tissue.

Please call the office if there is prolonged and severe pain, bleeding or elevated and persistent temperature.
